Our Past and Our Future

Dundas Manor opened on April 5, 1978, with 60 beds. Three additions have brought the home up to 98 beds. On February 1, 2012, Rural Healthcare Innovations (RHI) purchased Dundas Manor from the Alguire family. RHI is the board of directors that oversees the home. This year, we are celebrating 45 years of caring!

On April 28, 2015, Dundas Manor applied to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for approval to build a new home. Once approved, construction is expected to take two years. On March 13, 2020, we received the amazing news that the redevelopment has been approved!

It's A Go!

  • Construction is underway - with bulldozers and dump trucks on-site!

  • Frecon Construction - a local firm located in Russell - has been chosen to build the new Dundas Manor.
  • On December 15th, 2023, the official groundbreaking ceremony was held.
  • The new Dundas Manor will transform the look and feel of the residence to create a truly home-like environment where we can also welcome thirty additional residents. The new home will improve quality of life with more accessible space, more efficient preparation areas, wider halls, and larger windows. Outdated four-bed units will change to two residents per room.
