Our Strategic Plan & Priorities

Strategic Plan

The strategic plan to 2024 was developed by a Strategic Planning Steering Committee composed of staff, physicians, volunteers, and patients, in collaboration with the WDMH Board of Directors. The process included extensive research and consultation.

This Strategic Plan reconfirms our team’s commitment to patient and family-centred care. It sets our path and our priorities, with a
focus on four central themes: Quality/Services, Our People, Partnerships/Integration, and Accountability.

Strategic Priorities

The 2023/2024 Strategic Priories include:

Quality/Services

  • Meet Patient Care Improvement Plan (PCIP) and Senior Friendly Plan targets
  • Improve wait times

Our People

  • Focus on the retention of our people including everyone’s well-being, ongoing education, safety and support

Partnerships/Integration

  • Continue to work actively with regional partners, including collaboration with Dundas Manor and the Great River Ontario Health Team

Accountability

  • Focus on hospital costs
  • Continue the work of the Environmental Sustainability Committee
  • Optimize the use of our information systems, including Epic and booking systems
  • Review the configuration of current workspaces for support activities
